Q. Where are you located?
A. We are in Grand Junction, Colorado in Western Colorado. We are about 32 miles from the Utah boarder and Interstate 70.
Q. What size are the puppies?
A. Puppies at 8 weeks weigh 12 to 16 pounds. Adult Goldendoodles are 55 to 75 pounds when fully grown. Males tend to be larger than females and some litters may have a puppy that is smaller or larger than the rest of the litter.
Q. What colors are puppies?
A. Puppies range from light golden and white shades to darker shades, with some black and spotted colors.
Q. Do you recommend a male or female?
A. Males are usually larger than the females, but other that that there isn’t much difference when choosing between the two. All our dogs are bred to have high intelligence and loving temperament.
Q. Can I bring my dog when I come to pick my puppy or pick up my puppy?
A. Please do not bring any animals with you on your first visit, this can be very stressful to the mama dog sensing another dog is in the area. When you pick up your puppy we recommend that you introduce your puppy to them when you get home. It is already a lot for them to meet new people and to ride in the car. Adding a dog, they are unfamiliar with on top of that just adds to the stress. The transition is smoother if you take things one step at a time.
Q. Have the puppies been crate trained?
A. The puppies will not have been crate trained prior to pick-up. From ours to many of our customers’ experience, crating off an area or setting up a play pen is the way to go when you get home. Crate training can be good at night or when you feel it is in the puppy/adult dogs’ best interest to be in a crate. You can find great videos to learn how to crate train your puppy. I recommend you go to a puppy playtime in your area with a professional trainer to learn what will be best for you and your family.
Q. When can I visit the puppies?
A. We do not like exposing our puppies and property to much traffic before first vaccinations are done and into effect. Exposing our puppies to foot traffic can inadvertently expose them to Parvovirus that can be deadly to young puppies. You will be able to visit your puppy when they are 6 weeks old.
Q. What food will my puppy be eating?
A. We feed our puppies puppy chow with goat milk. You will have a picture of the bag and a small bag for you to transition to the puppy food you will keep your puppy on. We have chosen a puppy chow due to supply demands on other brands. We want to ensure that you can purchase more puppy food in any area of the country.
If at any time during the time of purchasing, preparing to bring a puppy home, or when you get home you have questions, we are available to answer them.
